I did this drawing a while ago and entered it into the open call for the book Beasts! 2, it didn’t win, but it was great fun to do. The idea of Beasts! is that illustrators draw mythological creatures in a contempory/personal way. I did a Phoenix. Check out the other entrants on the Hopeful Beasts Flickr Pool!
